Biosensor blood glucose testing monitors for people with diabetes, has teamed up with the American Diabetes Association’s Oregon Affiliate and Northwest Medical Teams International, Inc. to provide life-saving Precision Q-I-D(TM) blood glucose monitors and MICROFLO(TM) Test Strips to victims in the flooded areas of Oregon. Initial shipments of monitors and test strips have been donated by MediSense to help flood victims with diabetes continue to measure their blood sugar levels on a regular basis, an essential component in delaying or preventing life threatening complications of diabetes. MediSense will continue to coordinate with the American Diabetes Association to supply monitors and strips to flood victims until the crisis has passed.
